Patent Application # PCT/IN2008/000027, FILING DATE 17JAN2008
The inventor has conceptualized a new design for a rail car which
resembles a parallelogram where the angle to the rails of the
front of the rail car is 45degrees/135degrees and the rear of the
rail car is 135degrees/45degrees. The rear of the engine is flush
with the first Railcar attached, which means the back end of the
engine is also 135degrees/45degrees to the rail.

The significance of this design concept is that in case of a
collision, the shock-waves are not transmitted to the entire chain
of rail cars but only the first rail car. In event of a collision
the first rail-car, because of its unique design will move off the
track and will not telescope into the back of the engine.
Consequently the shock-waves transferred to the remaining rail-
cars should be significantly reduced.
